There's something mysterious happening as the kids discover more clues
The morning after finding the winged key, Jack felt a fluttery mix of worry and excitement in his tummy during Mr. Fitzwilliam's math class. The key, so small and silver with its delicate, fairy-like wings, sat on Mr. Fitzwilliam's desk, catching the sunlight like a tiny star.
Jack tried his best to focus on adding up the piles of pretend candies β lollipops and chocolate clouds and rainbow-colored gummies β but his mind kept drifting back to the key. Does Mr. Fitzwilliam know it's magical? he wondered. Does he know it opens something important in the secret library?
He imagined the key unlocking a tiny door in a giant book, revealing a miniature world filled with talking mice and candy-floss trees. Or maybe it would open a secret passage behind a bookshelf, leading to a room filled with bubbling potions and mischievous sprites!
