Max, our brilliant nine-year-old, had a treehouse lab that was truly something special. It wasn't just any old treehouse. Oh no! It had a pulley system for hauling up snacks, a chalkboard for sketching out his ideas, and a comfy beanbag chair for when he needed to ponder. The walls were covered in colorful diagrams and half-finished inventions, all lit by a string of twinkling fairy lights.
One sunny afternoon, Max decided he was tired of packing his lunch for school. He thought, "Wouldn't it be amazing if I could just think of any food and it would appear?"
